The result of 15 years of teaching experience of international drum tutor Paul Hose, MLC-Academy is the leading private music education providers in Nottingham.
Jim joined the team in 2007 and is proud to be able to offer drum lessons in such a quality environment. Facilities include everything from a furnished waiting area with internet access and a resource library to the fully equipped teaching areas which have full internet access, acoustic and electronic drum kits as well as the equipment to play along to tracks from CDs, MP3s and the internet and to record both lesson audio and visuals.
Lessons are usually given on a one to one basis and topics covered in lessons include basic groove playing, playing along with music, reading, listening, technical exercises, interpretation, technique for hands and feet and drum theory. Styles covered include Rock, Pop, Jazz, Funk, Latin, Metal and Military/Rudimental. Various grade syllabi can be offered depending on the student's personal requirements.
